It seems that all car producers are paying attention to E-cars and the likes now. In London they have the Smart car testing, In Berlin they will have a Mercedes next year and now the Mini E will be tested in towns like California, New York and New Jersey. If all goes well, they will be on the market in 2010. Here in Denmark there is also a small project on the way, that I’ll post a lot more about as it gets closer.

There’s money in green, and a lot of the big companies is already fighting to get their share. But it’s not all good promotion and happiness if you don’t do it right! That seems obvious after Greenpeace filed 25 of the biggest car producers to the Swedish authorities last week (Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia Motors, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Smart, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen og Volvo.) All for bad advertising manners and trying to “cheat” the consumers into believing their cars are “green”.
I think for brands to succeed it’s very important that they do it in a transparent (tell it!) and trustworthy (show it!) manner.
